‘containment of a chaotic mind’
With this piece of work I was looking to visually interpret the chaos within our minds. The twists, turmoil and entanglement of thoughts emotions and fears.

Viewers will all interpret this piece differently to there own inner thoughts and turmoils going on with their minds and hopefully connect with it.,

Finally finished new piece of art I’ve been working on in gallery.

This piece was created to reflect emotional/physical pain. Healing process can take a while. Lacing is symbolic of being pulled back together, repaired…… sometimes a short but often long process. To me this is quite a personal piece in reflection to my own health.

New project due to start as taking part in the galleries Art4Peace exhibition.

The late Scottish artist Douglas Doig has left a body of work completed out of ash, which came from the burning all of his lifes work. From the ash came images of the child Kim Phuc and the Vietnam war. This work will be on exhibition in November at the Art4Peace exhibtion. This work is a reminder of the need for ‘Peace’ …. Douglas Doig died on Valentines day in 1997 and this work has been kept hidden until now.

dont get on to update this often due to health hold backs….. but getting there slowly. Oh maybe new happy pills might work this time.

Completed recent work and it is now hanging in gallery so will update shortly with new photos.

Since last post been busy with CAD volunteering and creating new work/s. Took part in my first exhibition at Hopetoun House event, where I had 3 pieces of work on display along with other CAD members and Tom Bishop-De-Main .

Finished my piece ‘All that Glistens is not gold’ though yet to hang it, also I’ll post up some images soon of work/works in progress.

Life takes twists and turns some make you happy and some sad. But its said whats for you wont go past you hmmmm not sure of how much I believe really in that at the moment. Something I thought was for me and part of me has now finished but then I guess eventually strength will grow from it. Sad tho I feel right now.

We all will have those spells in our lives that mould us into what we are. Things that make us fragile or strong. Whether experiences, opportunities or people. Try be true to yourself and not what others expect you to be; hard i know.

well hmmmm where to start today………………………..

well its typical scottish weather with cloud and rain whoooooopeeeee……….. but would rather have those few days of sunshine back please……….fancy a beach trip

CAD afternoon after being accosted by friend on way who dragged me kicking an screaming into starbucks tsgh tsgh Hung out in gallery for a bit drinking tea, chatting, and eventually somewhere around 3ishhhhhh got some work done on current project. I’m ok once I get started, its just getting changed into work gear and stop procrastinating that’s my problem!!!!

Interesting thing with CAD apart from being in its soothing and interesting environment is the people……. whether its artists or joe public there is always something interesting.Current work at CAD

These days apart from allowing the occasional time off is spent in CAD. Working on a new project at the gallery…..will gather some photos in progress today. For those who haven’t been into the gallery come and check us all out at Kingsgate Centre, Dunfermline.

With all good intention I had planned on working yesterday but day became filled there with multiple discussions haha. So plan of action is to get working on new piece today. My other painting will hanker in the background whilst I decide on its next step.

Hey the world wasn’t created in a day ha ha so neither will my art ………well not everyhing

since my last post I’ve still been involved with TWS and helping in costume department, theres a lot to be done due to nature of real life depiction of 1926 miners strike so been helping with shawls and cufflinks.

Over last week been making more frequent visit into CAD (Contemporary Art Dunfermline) keeping in touch with whats going on. Met a wonder person by the name of Stevie Penny who’s currently working on a sculpture within the gallery. Stevie has kindly allowed me to help out with latest piece of work in which he has already spent 10 months working on. Recently he sold a

piece of work from gallery one of which is posted above.

Well as you can see from my profile I havent used this in some time but that may change in the coming future.

Currently volunteering with TWS (Theatre Workshop Scotland) with costume and set design i.e. prop prep etc.

Have a lot of fun and meeting many new and interesting people since Ive started.
